Chris

stayed over at jon's place for a night, lol,
caught up on stuff, and talked crap,
plus we ordered macdonalds

this is where it got interesting
we ordered our food and realized that there wasnt enuff mayo sauce
so we called macdonalds again and requested for more mayo sauce,
being the kind souls they are, they obliged, and whee, we got more mayo packets
then 10mins after the rider left, we realized that we were missing a straw, so we CALLED them again! due to their oversight, they had no choice but to come back again to give us more straws,
by this time, the rider had a black face already, but he left without any obscene gestures whatsoever,
but we didnt have any paper towels left, so we called macdonalds again..
and when the rider came, we were grinning at the door like 2 idiots
and the rest was painful history

but after all that we had vodka mixed with oatmeal,
so alls good
=D

I was thinking of joining the bar lounge at Traders Hotel. Some night bar job would be good for a change. Maybe even sales.

Lmao. Was looking at the requirements as an animal keeper at the zoo. (Yes! the Singapore Zoological Gardens!)

Cheesy.

My aunt recommended me a job. Help out at Bee Cheng Xiang by "pow-ing" bak kwah..
I'm speechless.

JoN - Dedicated to twits

This entry is dedicated to cartel noobies, twits and all form of retards. Enjoy.

One fine afternoon, it was crowded and busy. (as it is always from ard 12-2pm) I was a server so I wasn't so much into customer interaction. There was an assorted variety of pork ribs, lasagna.. spewing out of the tiny kitchen waiting to be served.

I stole a glimpse at the slip of paper sitting beside the plate of panfried linguine.
"Table 84...table 84... eighty fo.."
The number runs over my mind in a loop. Pulling off the slip, I moved towards the alfresco with the plate. Outside, I saw that the table was seated by a middle aged couple. So I approached the table and set the linguine down. I was abt to leave when the man speaks and at that point, I heard the dumbest question in the history of mankind.

Gesturing towards the restaurant, the man asks,
"Is the bread in there?" (Cartel has a counter where customers help themselves to free flow of bread)
It was clear that he wanted to be served bread. Maybe he was feeling sorry for his stone-weighed legs and was just waiting for me to say,
"Oh yes sir i'll go get you some."
I was burdened with food waiting to be served and here he was wasting my time, I cldn't care less with his stupid indirect request. Irritated to the point of cracking up and even thought of poking him with a steak knife. However, I decided to play along.

Pulling the dumbest look ever, I said,
"errr... eh.. I dunno..hmm... I think soo right?... "
(Pausing for a full 3 seconds, I said the dumbest thing)
"Is there?!"

LOL! You shld have seen the look on the guy's face. He got so fed up he just turned frm me without looking and waved me off.

Score!

JoN - Rage rage rage

Was listening to Hinder's "Better Than Me" the other day and my, it was a noteworthy track. Compared to "Lips of an Angel" (which really sucks xD), its lyrics were much more prominent and bold. To begin with, it makes me feel all the guilt and sufferings that was placed unto a loved one to bear, silently. Hinder is actually pretty much similar to Nickelback and the latter rawwwwks! I rmb I used to listen to them like it was an unchecked addiction during the dreaded 'O's.. wahaha

Watched a snippet of "Celebrity deathmatch" on dailymotion. Paris Hilton Vs Nicole Ritchie.

Paris slams Nicole's head unto the area floor repeatedly..
Paris: Had enough?!
Nicole: (snickers) I took tinkerbell!
Crowd goes crazy. Paris is filled with rage and starts hammering Nicole with her Gucci bag.
The contents fall out..

Nicole: Hey! (spots a lipstick and tries to put it on)
Lipstick smudges over her right cheek when Paris hits her another time.

Paris: Trying to leave early huh? That figures. You can never party as hard as I could! (Hysterical) You could never keep up with me in anything!!!
Nicole: Oh yea? (brings up a bottle of perfume) I have my own perfume line just like you. ONLY MINE HAVE ATTITUDE!
Nicole's perfume bottle sprays forth raging hot flames that smothers Paris.. When the flames stop, Paris' left arm is burning lightly..
Paris: That's hot.. (tries to shake of the flames but it refuses to go away) Uh uh! That's hot! It's very very hot!
Thrashing wildly at this point and starts to run in circles while the commentary goes on..

Commentary: Paris is burning! Her clothing is completely in fire! and now she's taking it all off! (crowd cheers loudly) Paris Hilton is now stripping of her burning clothes. Paris Hilton is now totally naked!

JoN - Quick cash

How I really wished money grew on trees. A little sprinkle of water regularly and a wad of $100 bills come bursting out like ripe corn as a reward. I could pay off my daily addiction of *______ and even buy a new HDTV, a 360 and maybe even rent a small apartment.. Fed up with being cooped up at home with my uncle and his family. Worked short and irregular shifts just to get away from home.. *sigh

Jocelyn dropped by Cartel for lunch a few days back as I had promised her a lunch treat. She deserved one since I had sought of 4gotten her bday. Under my recommendations, she had sirloin steak while her friend had grilled chicken w/ mushroom sauce. Managed light conversations in between since my managers were only a table away and my really "high" colleague was pestering me haha... Sadly, I didn't bring anything to change into. Thus, couldn't join her in the restaurant. (Cartel forbids you see..) So bade her farewell after work and went home.

Had a 2 hr break yst before my 5 - 8pm shift started. I simply jumped at the opportunity when asked to extend my working hrs to 9pm. Ate meehunkway for dinner and spent my last hr playing Lost Planet: Extreme Condition at the console outside Comics connection. Good game boy! Was almost late for work because of that keke.. Started wild imaginations, thinking customers were Akrids and I needed their blobs of thermal energy (T-Eng) to keep myself warm and most importantly, alive. Lols! Other than my silly hallucinations, I was just stomping around like a cow dying of thirst.

Jia called me yst telling me a trip to Phuket may be organized next month. Thrilled.

JoN - Lithium

Dropped by Cineleisure yst afternoon after a visit to TTSH. Chris & his cousin were at E2Max, happily flogging and making foie gras out of some locust grunts. Gavin is based in Cleveland, America, with his family. An awesome dude who is only 14 and already a head taller than me haha. Gavin's cool.

Caught a really crappy movie yst, Sunshine. Yes Sunshine. How's my Sunshine doing today?
Sunshine suck eggs. The plot is pretty based on alot of movies that depict armageddon. Crew arrives at a meteor, the earth core etc and go about doing their task of saving the world. Only to find out a fluke with the mission. Everyone dies in Sunshine. Point is, it's the freakin' Sun! You don't go there and expect to return we just a nice tan?

You get flash fried!

Met Janet while on the way to Taka. I dunno but it seemed like it took her a long time to recognize me. I think it was the silly beanie I had worn. MOS Burger at Taka reminded me of the time I had lunch with sm and she was having paranoia about what if the burgers we ordered had been spit on. It's like, "Huh?!"

JoN - My personal testimony for the unsaved

Had a hearty chat with my granny a few nights ago when I got back home frm work. She was telling me stuff abt my granduncle (in between laughters) who used to gallivant late into the night and come home drunk or too tired to wake up in the morning for work. Saying that my dad picks up a little from his uncle. Yea maybe.

She also told me how grandpa who used to be a devout Taoist become a Christian just before he passed on. It was a real journey of faith, courage and salvation. He used to harbor anti-Christian sentiments to the extent that he condemned his eldest son, my Uncle, for being one when he was young. It got so bad that he was chased out of the house. However, that did not stop my dad nor my other uncle from becoming Christians.

Grandpa used to worship a certain idol called the "god of the nine emperors". He carried those rocking sedans that brought the "god" to certain important festivals or ceremonies. Anyways, he hated Christian teachings so much that he wrote a lengthy script that was supposed to make his children understand the reason for his dislike. Then came the turning point.. My grandpa was a cautious man. He had a habit of turning the tap once more after use just to make sure. Once, he went to the temple to pray and was placing the joss sticks into the urn. Burying them deep and twisting repeatedly just to make sure they were firmly in place. While he was starting to leave the temple, he suddenly felt something amiss. He turned ard and saw that the joss sticks that he was so sure were deeply rooted into the urn, had fallen to the ground. He took this as some sort of a sign and slowly, became saved through prayer and all.

While grandma was telling me all abt grandpa's journey to salvation, thoughts abt my stepdad came across my mind. He was pretty much the same as grandpa. However, he hates anything to do with religion haha. Notorious for chasing people out the door whether they are good 'ol youngsters from neighborhood churches spreading the gospel or relatives. Salesmen and people asking for donations aren't spared either. A miracle however, changed his hostility towards Christianity. A pastor from one of my stepbro's church once visited him. Surprising thing was, as the pastor was telling him who was Jesus, what he has done for mankind and how to accept him in Chinese, my stepdad was actually listening and nodding as he understood. A response that used to be impossible. He was saved after praying the sinner's prayer and had since passed away peacefully..

Lijia was correct. No matter how difficult it is to achieve something, no matter how long it takes. God provides and it will work out by investing in faith. My grandpa and my stepdad are my testimonies going out to the unsaved.

JoN - Valhalla

Boop boop boop
Our feet tap impatiently as the timer counts down the seconds to respawn.
..2..1 Give 'em hell!
A teammate leans on the horn of the warthog parked out back. Sure, we'll be his gunner. The engine revs and kicks up mud. We're nearly to the whitewater stream -- a more sheltered route to the enemy's flank -- when a pinprick laser lights up a fender.
Uh oh.. Spartan Laser
The driver dives out just as the pencil-thin beam primes to devastating intensity and send fiery warthog parts flying.
Boop boop boop. Respawn.
Back to the man-cannon and-- whoosh-- it kicks us in an arcing trajectory to the middle of the map. Hey! There's the guy with the spartan laser! Time for a little payb--aaack! Some a-hole in a mongoose runs us down from behind. Abt the lamest way to die in Halo 3..

Chris - thoughts,

ever since i hit 20 years old, it been kind of a wake up call to me,
that if i dun catch up with life now, no matter how crazy and fast paced it is,
i will never be able to catch up later,

retaking my fyp again isnt fun, after hearing everybodies results, the joy, the disappointment
in all their voices, it sucks that i cant join them, but on the other hand, there is a certain kind of relief, that at least i got a second chance, that i can still be in the race in life,

after this FYP, i be in army for 2 years,
i am trying to get into a high active unit, commandos or guard,
cuz since im spending 2 years there, might as well make it interesting,
after that, i will be going to university, most likely overseas,

for overseas, i probably borrow some cash from my parents to start off, but im gonna work for this degree, work and study, if others can do it, i will too,
even though i really want to be able to hang out with friends in the same university overseas, the chances are slim, and i wont come back till i achieved what i wanted from there,
it will be tough to say goodbye when it comes, but i am looking forward to it, to really depend on myself, not on my parents, to see what am i capable of,

in total, if i dun get alot of free time from army,
it be 4 years away from friends and family, ouch,
but hey, i come back with at least skills or something..
wonder how everyone wil be like 4 years from now

20 years old, once you kinda hit this age, thinking becomes a constant habit,
planning for future, money, (if i do get commandos, maybe i will be able to save maybe 20K by the time i get out? who knows) , cars and moreover, even maybe a relationship too,
thats why i think i wouldnt want to get into a relationship anytime soon, cuz i'll be gone for really long, and its kinda unfair to the other half,
i mean like why wait for me? its 4 years leh,
well it sucks, cuz i do want a relationship again,
but AIYA, heck la, studies everything come first,
when im back, then i think i be more prepared for love's battlefield..
LOL..

heard taiwan was cancelled, sad man.. okay lah, we plan somewhere cool lahs.
i be kinda rich or something after army.. then we can go for longer more insanely cool holiday! =D
