chris - the only blogging on a weekday recruit
while waiting for the computer to render my huge amounts of files,
i shall take the time to blog,
and MSN
and check mail,
check facebook,
and still work late hours to come out with a 4th draft video by wednesday
wonder if anyone ever had to single handedly work on a project like this
with such a tight deadline and survived?
hmmmm.. cuz im really the only one doing this thing, other than a Staff Andy,
who is a nice dude and a christian who helps me get clips and sorts them out accordding to events.
really Thank God for the nice people in my unit, both in the BMT side and the HQ side,
HQ is where im doing this video btw,
i get to rest when my brain is about to die,
and theres a sofa! but im not on it all the time..
occasionally, =D when my brain is fried scramble eggs
sunday was desmond's birthday,
damn tired stuff,
waited to surprise him at like 2am,
madness
okay i gtg,
later when i got more time
chris - endless video editing
im now a diver and a video editor,
ah well, the perks of serving the country..
lol
anyway, hows everyone?
its like my 2nd/3rd week as a army dude,
and boy i miss being a civilian
being able to go out when i wish to,
calling out friends just to slack hang out or catch a movie,
or church-wise go for cell on wednesdays..
i used to take these freedoms for granted,
now i cant even do anything fun on a weekday.. awwwww..
ahah i watched 10000 bc its not bad,
still worth watching somewhat,
next week step up 2! woot..
okay gotta go,
gotta go chiong training tml
chris - first book out
1st march
1st book out
10 days of confinement and training saikang and getting burnt
there were its fun times,
the initial period of culture shock,
getting used to the army bed
knowing how much we took for granted the things we did as a civilian
army changes people
its true
when i first got the confirmation that we can leave for home,
the feeling ah, the sense of freedom,
is potent man, everyone was high, all whooped as we shouldered our heavy field packs and walked to the
nearest main road to flag a taxi
i sat in the taxi, it felt surreal
im in a cab! not a bus or a 5-tonner,
stuff that every ns man misses (usually)
: own bed
: msn
: computer
: Friends
: outside life cinemas, shoping centres blah blah
NDU is fun.. really,
the training is crazy, arms are like super sore lah,
i could do like 8 pull ups at first,
then got trained then now im a "zero-fighter"
meaning i cant even do one,
now in the process of running,
we got issued with this shorts
the diver "sexy" shorts
think FBT shorts, but got a slit at the sides
uber funny cuz we train wearing this shorts, no shirt, and with either boots or PT shoes
im now, UBER dark
2 more weeks of this and i be darker than rachel wong
it was good going to church and ant's house and seeing everyone again
everyone was making fun of my hair, hahaha
my botakness
2 hours more to book in time,
gotta pack my bag, see you all on the weekend
=D
