anyway me in US now..visiting cousins.. and they are GAMERS! woot.. we got lucky this trip.. managed to sit first class in SIA.. i was expecting economy.. something bout SIA ancient privelliges or sumthin..

night hike: the horrifying project=D
back from night hike! sorry that i took so long to update.. was packin my bags for US soon
plus was really too stoned to do much..
anyway.. back to story
we met at mac at toa payoh.. everyone arrived bby 830 plusplus when i said to meet by 8!
hahaa, planning.. buffer time! =D anyway we were talking and getting to know (i think thats ya name) zilei better.. after eating and joking bout having our bags misled to sri lanka.. then we headed off to buy snacks for the anyway, me stan abel jacky and zilei got psycho-ed for the crazy journey ahead..
we almost missed the bus stop.. happily chatting and i think we sort of left zilei out..oops.. after tons of walking at the start.. we were equipped with RED lightsticks.. confirm we will freak out anyone in the forest.. a bunch of pple with red lights swaying here and there LOL..
we reached the map then we thot hmm, this looks like the right direction..
WRONG..
after 30mins of walking, stanley found out we were walking to macritche.. OOPS.. but its insane, the amount of distance of area we covered in so little time.. there we were half freaked by wet footprints that appeared on the wooden path then ended in the water.. and it was over the span of 2 km.. WHOA, anyway we juz took the long cut and headed back to mandai reserve..
after like 1 hour, which everyone blamed me for trying to kill them with the fast pace.. it was fast? since when? i thot it seemed like normal working.. we passed by the country club golf course.. and that place is seriously out of this world.. it looks like a piece of untouched china was dug up and airlifted here.. there were like willows and a lake and moonlight.. beautiful..
abel suddenly pointed out the jelutong tower after more walking.. its a big wooden tower that has really small steps but it goes round 8 stories high.. it was like additional torture for our legs.. but hey the view was worth it.. no trees blocked our view of the cloudy sky.. but darn.. cant go stargazing.. after snacking and lying down there we were on the way again.. then i finally got my act together and found the place i wanted to find..
the palm hut..
its a small house sitting in the middle of 4 streams converging.. the doors and the night made that house super creepy.. then everyone wanted to kill me when i said this looked like fatal frame.. cause everyone started getting a major case of the willies..
the water was cold.. and there was like quicksand.. and we got our shoes and socks soaked..=D
from there i brought them to the stream after like 15 mins of walking.. we hit the stream.. then there was the REAL hike.. we had to go up the stream.. to find the source of the water.. we had to avoid the *BLASTED* prickly plants.. a tree had fallen there since the last time i was there.. so we went hardcore hiking by litearally creating our own path round the tree..walking thru slippery mud and looking out for prickly trees with a weak flashlight aint fun.. we found the source.. 6 concrete pipes that was broken and was in the world war 2 age kind.. but it looked cool! =D then the tought part.. getting back.. we went back to the tree then i made a mistake.. i cut in at the wrong part.. then we had no way to get down because of the thick foilage.. i was sorta like panicking a little.. cause we were going higher and higher.. so me and stan left the others at one part and scouted out the possible path ahead.. then stan lost one of his gloves.. we found a way down after most of us got pricked.. ouch.. but the wounds werent infected.. luckily..
i almost expected everyone to rail at me but then everyone said they enjoyed it.. i was like whoa.. didnt expect that.. now i have hiking kakis! yay..
by that time we were kinda pooped.. then we found a well.. jacky and abel started to get bad feelings bout that wel cause it was behind a metal railing we had to climb.. bet they were thinking of the Ring and stuff like that.. night mah.. so we avoided that and crossed the big pipes.. now those had a spiked fence on then so we had to go the hard way.. through the drain.. =D
more walking out of mandai then we sort of died at the bus stop.. after seeing CIVILLAZATION! then we went to have prata.. at the roti prata house.. it rocked..stanley had 5 kosongs.. i thot he was delirious.. i had my murtabak.. yum.. then we all went home and died for a few hours.. then i had CHURCH!! ARGH
anyway thtas all that happened during the hike..=D
